Dear Rim of the World Unified School District Families,
On behalf of the Rim of the World Unified School District, welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are excited to begin another year filled with opportunities for learning, growth, achievement, and meaningful connections across our schools and community.
As we welcome our students, families, and staff back, we look forward to building upon strong partnerships that make our district strong. Together, our dedicated staff, supportive families, and our engaged community play an important role in creating an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
The Rim of the World Unified School District is committed to educating the “whole child” with rigorous academics, as well as the arts, and expanded co-curricular programs. We view our parents as partners in education, and we offer many opportunities for them to be involved in the education of their children. We are committed to providing a quality education for all students while ensuring our staff members have the training, resources, and support they need to be successful.
This year, we are enhancing opportunities for family engagement across all campuses. We invite you to get involved with our school PTAs, which raise valuable funds to support student enrichment activities, and to join School Site Councils, where your voice helps shape goals and programs. Your involvement in school activities makes positive and lasting differences in your child’s school experiences and helps create memories that will last a lifetime.
We are proud of the strong sense of community that defines our district and look forward to continuing to work together to support student success. To strengthen our connection with families, the district will continue to invest in meaningful school-to-home communication through Parent Square and Facebook. Throughout the year, we will provide timely updates, important information, and helpful resources to keep you informed, connected, and engaged with your child’s school and our district community.
We are proud to share that during the school year 2024-25, our Board of Education and community voted to approve Measure E and Proposition 2, demonstrating strong support for our schools and students. With more than $85 million now dedicated to critical infrastructure improvements, ROWUSD will focus on school modernization projects across our district that will enhance student learning environments. To learn more, please visit our district’s Facilities Master Plan webpage.
Our success as a top-rated school district is made possible by the talent, commitment, cooperation, and collaboration of all of our employees. Together, as one dedicated team, our staff work each day to create meaningful opportunities and enrich the lives of our students. We are grateful for their continued efforts and the important role they play in making ROWUSD a strong and successful school community.
Thank you for being a valued part of the ROWUSD community. We are honored to partner with you and look forward to an inspiring and successful 2026-2027 school year!
Sincerely,
 Dr. Paul Sevillano, Superintendent
