Open Enrollment for Medical, Dental, Vision & Basic Life Insurance:
- The District's annual Open Enrollment for the 2024/2025 Plan Year will be May 1, 2024 through May 15, 2024.
- Per IRS Section 125 regulations, Open Enrollment is the only time of year that changes can be made to insurance elections other than during a Qualifying Life Event.
- Insurance-approved Qualifying Life Events are: Birth, Adoption, Marriage, Divorce, Change in employment status, Loss of other coverage, Gain of other coverage, or Death of a dependent. Changes to insurance elections are allowed within 31 days from the Qualified Life Event. Proper documentation needs to be provided during this timeframe.
