It's a busy and exciting week ahead! From attendance competitions to MPH's Spring Concert, a Board Meeting, and many other activities, there's always a lot happening across the district.

Page Three: ROWUSD Saturday Academy.  It will be held on Saturday, March 22nd from 8am to 12 pm at VOE, CHE, LAE, and RHS. Saturday Academy is open to students interested in additional support and enrichment opportunities! Please fill out the Google Form to sign up and reserve your spot.  Breakfast & Lunch will be provided. No school transportation is available.  The benefits include 1) Focus on literacy and numeracy, 2) Targeted Interventions, and 3) Academic Enrichment. Page Four: Did You Know-Mountain Transit....RHS has a Mountain Transit Bus Stop right on campus!  Part of Route 2 runs from VOE to Mountains Community Hospital, offering students a Free Transportation option for extracurricular activities! Page Five: LAE: 3/10-Strings Practice. Welcome Back-ELPAC Testing Continues. Yearbook Cover Contest Begins!/ Tuesday 3/11: TK & K Art, and 1st-5th Grade Music.  3rd Grade Ski Lessons @ Snow Valley. Busses Return at 4:45 pm. ELAC Meeting Rescheduled for 3/18. Wednesday 3/12" PE Day/1st-5th Music. Modified Day at 1:20 pm./ Thursday 3/13: PE Day. Board Meeting @ RHS from 4pm to 9 pm. Friday, 3/14: NO SCHOOL-Professional Development Day! Coming Soon: 3/17 Last Day for Yearbook Cover Contest entries.  3/17: St Patrick's Day/ 3/28: Last day to turn 5th Grade Yearbook Dedications. and 3/28 is the Glow Dance! 
Page Six: LAE Play-Doh collection Drive. As part of LAE’s “Leader in Me” program, the focus is on cultivating  students’ Leadership and Service skills. LAE’s Students & Staff are sponsoring this Community Service Project! The Play-Doh Drive is for Loma Linda’s Children’s Hospital! This drive is in memory of Siena Smith, an LAE student who passed away in 2017. The drive will be held from March 3rd through March 28th LAE’s Goal is to donate over 1,000 individual play-doh tubs! Note: LAE can ONLY accept store-bought play-doh! Drop-off DOnations will be at LAE’s front office from 8:30am to 3:00 pm AND/OR you can send play-doh tubs with your student.
Page Seven: LAE Yearbook Cover Contest: Entries Due by March 17th, 2025. We are inviting students to enter their original drawings in our Yearbook Cover COntest. Winners will be selected by a panel to be displayed on the front and back of the yearbook. Submit art on: 8.5X11 sheet of white paper. Picture needs to be vertically.
All entries must include: The theme (drawing to represent "Leader in Me means...." The words "Lake Arrowhead Elementary" for the school year "2024-2025"/ Tips for a good entry: Lots of Color (including background)-not a lot of white space. Leave an 1/2 inch of space around the border.; Use up as much space as possible-the bigger, the better! and Lastly-Do not put your name on the front (the back only). Page Eleven & Twelve: Valley of Enchantment Elementary: March Madness Attendance Challenge! It's the March Madness Attendance Challenge. School attendance is essential for success! Being here on time and ready to learn sets you up for a great day. We are kicking off our March Madness Attendance Contest to make things even more exciting! Here's how it works: 1) All students and staff must be present to count for the day's attendance. 2) Each classroom has been randomly paired against another class in the building.  This will be a 5-week campaign. The winning class will win recess time for whenever they want AND a class party! While we want to see everyone here daily, please follow the sickness guidelines and stay home if you are not feeling well. Let's prioritize attendance and have fun while we're at it.  Who's ready to take on the challenge? Let the games begin!!!!! Attendance Matters!  EVENTS: 3/10-Block Blast Kickoff and Dog Reading at 3 pm./ 3/12: Minimum Day Early Release/ 3/13-3rd Grade Field Trip. Report cards go home.  3/14- Non Attendance Day for students./ 3/17-Earlyact Lunch 1st thru 5th grades./ 3/19- 3rd Grade Ski Trip, 5th grade Panorama Picture, Minimum Day Early Release and SSC Meeting at 3pm. / 3/20-Kindness Kids Lunch/ and 3/22 Saturday School.   
Page Thirteen: Mary Putnam Intermediate: Come and Support Our Talented Middle School Musicians. We invite you to join us and experience an incredible night of music. Middle school students have dedicated themselves in practicing and working hard and are ready to Showcase their musical skills.  Your presence means the world to them! We hope to see you there! The Spring COncert will feature Beginning Bands A & B, Choir, and Advanced Band.  The concert starts at 4:30 pm. Free Admission.

MPH is looking for dedicated volunteers to help make a difference, & help shape their students  journey! MPH is looking for volunteers to fill key PTA board positions for the 2025-2026 school year! President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Volunteer Coordinator, and membership Being part of the PTA is a GREAT way to stay connected, bring positive change, and support our students!!!
Page Fifteen: MPH-Get Ready for the First Annual MPH Attendance Bracket Challenge!Starting this week-the three-week challenge is designed to reward students for their dedication to being on campus! This attendance incentive challenge is aimed at rewarding students’ enjoyment of campus through healthy competition! This challenge ends March 28th, the Friday before Spring Break!  Daily, Weekly, and End-of-Tournament shout-outs & rewards will be given to the winners. WAIT! Your class didn’t advance after the 1st week of the competition? Don’t worry. We have a non-winners bracket for the following weeks! EVERYONE has a legitimate chance to Win!

Page Eighteen:  RHS MARCH MADNESS Attendance Challenge. This month ASB will be hosting a March Madness attendance challenge!! Each week, each 2nd period class will be matched up against another teacher’s 2nd period class.  The class with the best overall attendance that week will advance to the next round... This will continue each week in March until we have a Winner! The winning class will earn Donuts!! Good Luck Scots!!!
